The Brooklyn boys, Savoy, have dropped their brand new EP “Three Against Nature” and his some funky/glitch/dubstep that we loved! And its The House That Dubs Built track of the day.

This is the second EP Savoy has dropped in the last few months, the other “Personal Legend”. And this one is more on the funk side of things. There is a great mix guitar instrumentation and awesome funk/70′s type vocals throughout the EP. Our favorite tracks are “Say Yes” and “You Make Me Feel Good”. DOWNLOAD HERE

This post is non-Jam Band/EDM related,  it’s about LIFE.  This story is simply amazing and just really shows the power of music and the human spirit.  Zach Sobiech was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 17 and was literally given months to live.  But Zach decided to turn to music to LIVE for ever long he had left.  Sadly, Zach passed away just the other day, May 20th.   Watch and hear his story.

Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights) is set to release “A Color Map of the Sun” on July 2nd. He’s already given away the first single “Around the Block” featuring Talib Kweli and will stay true to fashion by offering the album as a free download on the day of its release. Fans however, will have options to order a 2 CD set, vinyl, and other bundle set versions. 

Unlike previous albums where Smith has collected hundreds of samples from crates of vinyl to throw down on the tracks in Pretty Lights style, he has opted to create the samples from authentic and historic instrumentation to give “A Color Map of the Sun” a true original sound. Watch the teaser to get a better feel and visual of what’s going into the new record.
