MP3 of The Day: Phish “Jesus Just Left Chicago” featuring John Popper

Figured to have a little fun today with Tebow mania arriving in New England where Tiny Tim is going to need the hand of God to pull off a 14 point underdog upset against the Patriots.

It’s been an interesting and surprising ride for Broncos fans and sports fans alike, but it most likely comes to end. The Steelers didn’t take Denver serisously and we both know Brady and Belichick will not make the same mistake. Whatever happens tonight and whatever side of the Tebow fence you’re on, tonight’s game will be something to see.

So inĀ preparationĀ of tonight’s NFL Divisional Matchup featuring America’s Favorite Athlete vs Superbowl MVP, enjoy an old school download of Phish teaming up with John Popper to perform a staple live cover of ZZ Top’s “Jesus Just Left Chicago” at the University of Wisconsin’s Great Hall on November 8th, 1990.

The Slip Stitch and Pass version might be the best one of them all which took place in Hamburg, Germany on March 1st, 1997, but this version is right up there with the best of them. Enjoy and “peace be with you” or something like that…
