Today’s selection comes by request from an EB listener (Will Golden – Savannah – Georgia). He told me to check out the latest Perpetual Groove show at the Georgia Theatre which included two new ridiculously good tunes called “Violet Fang” and “Carry Me Home”, a monster 20 minute version of Green Tea, debut covers of Kanye West and Jay-Z and Death Cab For Cutie with former PGroove keyboardist John Hruby, and special guest Gary Paulo on sax for Walking Into Place.

Perpetual Groove brought their hypnotic rock grooves to the Brooklyn Bowl this past weekend and once again thanks to Joel at Jamlive.org, we can all relive the experience through soundboard matrix recordings. The show features a debut of the track called “A Little Bit of Everything” mixed in with jam vehicles including a dirty and dark version of Stealy Man, Speed Queen, TTFPJ, and more.

Today we can enjoy a superb matrix recording of Perpetual Groove’s 2011 New Year’s Eve Performance at Center Stage in Atlanta. This show would mark the last one for keyboardist John Hruby and the man replacing him, former and now current PGroove keyboardist Matt Mcdonald. The set would also feature special guest appearances from Under The Porch.

Perpetual Groove informed fans yesterday about Keyboardist John Hruby leaving the band effective January 1st, 2012. Replacing Hruby will be former PGroove Keyboardist, Matt McDonald, who was last seen playing with the group at Amberland IX in 2008.
