He’s already given away the first single “Around the Block” featuring Talib Kweli and will stay true to fashion by offering the album as a free download on the day of its release. Derek Vincent aka Pretty Lights has announced a full length album due out July 2nd called “A Color of Map of the Sun”. While you wait, you can check out the official video and download the new single “Around The Block” which features hip-hop icon Talib Kweli. The first round of artists have been unveiled for this year’s All Good Music Festival taking place at Legend Valley in Thornville, OH on July 18th-21st. Returning once again will be Furthur featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, Pretty Lights, STS9, Primus, plus “a a sh#t ton more!”. Pretty Lights has offered up his End of The World 2012 mashup remix featuring samples of Black Sabbath, R.E.M., The Doors, and more vs the signature heavy synthesized bass and back-beats that is Derek Vincent Smith. He debuted the track last year at his New Year’s Eve show in Chicago and is now posting it online stating “to rock out to on the day that signifies the end of the Mayan Calendar”.
