Umphrey’s McGee Pays Respect to Etta James with Special Guest Jennifer Hartswick

With the news coming down friday of the passing of music legend, Etta James, after losing her battle to Leukemia, Umphrey’s Mcgee would pay their respects to Mrs. Etta James by teaming up with the powerful Jennifer Hartswick at a sold out Best Buy Theater show last night in New York City.

 

Not to take away the quality of original musicianship which UM puts on at every show including Friday night’s show (also sold out) at the Best Buy Theater and point out the cover selection, but just about everyone had some kind of Etta James connection to share on their social media and it’s only fitting to have Jennifer Hartswick sing a tribute along with Umphrey’s McGee.
